Celebrate Clark Street Festival: A Cultural Explosion in Rogers

 Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - Local NewsThis year marks the 7th annual and most ambitious Celebrate Clark Street Festival to date. The Rogers Park festival has grown from a community celebration into one of Chicago’s most renowned and unique street festivals, attracting over 30,000 people annually. This year the festival debuts many outstanding and critically acclaimed artists from as far away as Mali and Ecuador.

In addition, the event gives visitors the opportunity to experience, firsthand, the
culturally rich Rogers Park community that speaks over 38 languages by people from over 82 countries. The neighborhood is buzzing with locally owned, independent businesses, showcasing the ethnic diversity of the neighborhood. The festivities take place Saturday, July 28 from 1-11 p.m. and Sunday, July 29 from 1 to 10 p.m. from 6950-7200 North Clark St. between Morse Ave. and Touhy Ave. Suggested donation is only $5 per person and $10 per family. All funds raised are used to support Rogers Park businesses.
