City Colleges of Chicago’s “Level UP” Program to Help Students

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - EducationStudents looking to enter college this fall, but need a brush up on their math and English skills are invited to take part in City Colleges of Chicago’s Level UP program, a free five-week quick-start summer program. The program, designed to reduce the time students spend in remedial coursework, combines intensive small class instruction, and tutoring in math, reading and writing with self-paced online learning modules.

Level UP students meet two to three times per week during the five-week program. Each daily session lasts three hours. Teachers and teachers’ assistants closely monitor students as they work through lessons and online learning modules. Level UP programs at the following City Colleges of Chicago start soon:

    • Harold Washington College: July 9 – Aug 3
    • Harry S. Truman College: July 9 – Aug 3
    • Kennedy- King College: July 9 – Aug 3
    • Malcolm X College: July 9 – Aug 3
    • Richard J. Daley College: July 9 – Aug 3
