Holy Cross Hospital Ranks High for Safety

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - HealthHoly Cross Hospital, a private not-for-profit, southwest side Chicago hospital, has been ranked #2 of 20 Chicago hospitals for patient safety by the world’s largest consumer testing organization.

In the August 2012 issue, a leading consumer organization published safety ratings for 1,159 hospitals in the U.S. The survey provided comparative data combining Infections, Readmissions, Communication, Scanning, Complications, and Mortality. Holy Cross Hospital received a “much better than average” rating in the key categories of Infections and Scanning. All ratings data, except for infection, came from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. Infection data came from the states and the Leapfrog Group.
