UNO Breaks Ground on New High School in Gage Park

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - EducationAlderman Edward M. Burke (14th) joined Governor Pat Quinn, House Speaker Michael Madigan and a host of elected officials and community leaders at a groundbreaking for a new soccer academy high school in the Gage Park community.

The high school will be completed in the fall of 2013 will and provide classroom space for 960 students enrolled in grades nine through twelve. The high school is being built next to an existing elementary school and will complete the state-of-the-art campus at 51st Street and Homan Avenue.

Alderman Burke congratulated UNO CEO Juan Rangel and his charter school network on “creating new and exciting educational possibilities for our children.”
