On August 27, 2012 the Catalyst Schools received 1040 kindergarten through eighth grade scholars. Over 500 students enrolled at its Catalyst-Howland Charter School (North Lawndale) and 520 enrolled at its Catalyst-Circle Rock Charter School (Austin). Both North Lawndale and Austin are communities committed to the well-being of their children spiritually, politically, and educationally. The Catalyst Schools is beginning its seventh year of operation and has seen steady growth in academics and the social skills of the scholars who attend. In addition, 180 freshmen students began their march toward college at Catalyst’s Chicago Lawn campus on August 20, 2012. The new school will house 1100 K – 12th grade students when capacity enrollment is reached.
