On Saturday, September 8th, Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago (NHS) in partnership with Lowe’s Heroes worked to beautify the area surrounding NHS’ North Lawndale neighborhood office and the Chicago Botanic Garden’s Green Youth Farm. Lowe’s Heroes are Lowe’s employees who are engaged in community service projects for nonprofit organizations, homeowners and local schools in need. Lowe’s Heroes team together to transform lives one community at a time. Since the program’s creation, Lowe’s Heroes have participated in more than 1,300 projects, and Lowe’s has contributed more than $1.3 million in materials.
