On Thursday August 23rd, Governor “Pat” Quinn, Representative Elizabeth “Lisa” Hernandez, Cook County President Toni Preckwinkle, Congressman Danny Kaye, Mayor Robert Lovero, to name a few gathered together for a ribbon cutting ceremony in Cicero for the completion of the award-winning Roosevelt Road Streetscape project.

“I am very pleased that I was able to work with my colleagues to bring state funding that allowed us to make a difference in the life of local residents and business owners”, said Representative Hernandez. This project was made possible through state and federal funding which allowed for job creation and improvement of the current transportation system. The Roosevelt Road project was supported and voted by the state legislature providing the required funding.
