Third Phase Roll Out of Grid Garbage Collection System

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - BusinessOn Monday, Chicago Department of Streets and Sanitation crews began final preparations for the roll out of the grid garbage collection system to 65,000 households wards1, 26, 27, 32, 35, 42, 43 and 44 as well as small portions of wards 2, 33, and 47.

Throughout the week, crews will post color-coded “Change in Garbage Service Day” notifications on City-serviced household refuse carts within the boundaries of the roll out to inform residents of their new garbage collection day effective the week of September 17, 2012.
