Carlos and Dominguez Fine Arts Gallery will welcome two exceptional Mexican artists, Alejandro Romero and Renato Esquivel, to its facility for an opening reception on Friday, Oct. 12.

Alejandro Romero has long been recognized as one of Chicago’s artists. His superb drawings are painted with a magical palette of rich, evocative colors which seduce the eyes and senses into an almost trancelike state. Renato Esquivel of Mexico City is the brother of Romero and a highly regard artist in Mexico. His art is at once representational and surreal, with juxtaposed objects on muted, textured backgrounds. All are encouraged to attend to meet the artists and explore their work. The opening reception will take place at Carlos and Dominguez Fine Arts Gallery, 1538 W. Cullerton St., from 6:30p.m., to 10:30p.m.

The exhibition will end on November 9th, 2012.
