Chicago City Council Progressive Caucus to Host Hearings on 2013 City Budget

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - Local NewsThe Chicago City Council’s Progressive Caucus will host hearings in the coming two weeks to hear feedback and concerns from Chicago residents regarding the Emanuel Administration’s proposed 2013 municipal budget. The Progressive Caucus organized the hearings to encourage Chicagoans to deliver their own ideas, concerns and suggestions regarding the 2013 budget. The Caucus will move to enter the comments received at the hearings into the public record at the next City Council meeting. All hearings will be open to the public.

West/Near West Side Community Budget Hearing
Who: Progressive Caucus members, community residents. Moderated by Andy Shaw, Executive Director, Better Government Association.

South/Southwest Side Community Budget Hearing
Who: Progressive Caucus members, community residents. Moderated by Cliff Kelley, Political Commentator, WVON AM.
What: Community hearing on 2013 municipal budget.
Where: South Shore International High School, 1955 E. 75th St.
When: Wednesday, October 24, 2012. 6pm.
