Latino Union Celebrates the Opening of ‘Unfinished Business’

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - Local NewsThe National Domestic Workers’ Alliance, UIC CUED, and Data Center published a groundbreaking report “Home Economics: The Invisible and Unregulated World of Domestic Work” recently. Latino Union and the Chicago Coalition of Household Workers joined with several other organizations across the country to carry out the worker-led research report and interviewed dozens of works in Chicago last summer. Their work is ready to be released in Chicago. On Monday, Dec. 10th, Latino Union will celebrate the opening of “Unfinished Business: 21st Century Home Economics,” a community, participatory exhibition that will take place at the Hull-House, 800 S. Halsted.

To create interactive experiences, Hull-House is partnering with activists and artists including Chicago Coalition of Household Workers, Frau Fiber, Chicago Childcare Collective, and the Academy for Global Citizenship, Street Level Youth Media, to name a few.
