Expand Your Horizons at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - EducationSchool is back in session after a winter break and so is the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. The Museum will offer a variety of unique classes to young scholars looking to expand their horizons with math and language, all while connecting to urban nature. These inspiring courses for students and caregivers will bring out each participant’s inner scientist. Classes include:

  • Language through Nature: Young children will have the opportunity to learn Mandarin, Polish or Spanish vocabulary during an experiential, interactive class. Cost: 7-week series: $100/member caregiver and child/series; $140/non-member caregiver and child/series; $20/single class unless otherwise noted.
  • Numbers through Nature (Wednesdays, January 16-February 27): Explore nature through Mathnasium’s First Steps “Math Foundations” program, designed to build Number Sense in students, ages 3-5.
