Free counseling is available to Chicago-area veterans and their families, as well as active and reserve members of the military through ChildServ. Appointments can be made in two ChildServ locations located in Chicago’s Englewood or Austin neighborhoods, or for in-home counseling visits in Maywood, Forest Park, Berwyn, Cicero, Westchester and on Chicago’s South and West sides. Men and women who have served in any branch of the military are eligible, regardless of discharge status, as well as their family or household members.

Services include individual counseling for children, adolescents, and adults, as well as family counseling. The program addresses and supports the challenges of family adjustment, reintegration, bereavement, sexual trauma, post-traumatic stress, and others.
