Hernandez Promises More Change in New Term

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - BusinessState Rep. Elizabeth “Lisa” Hernandez (D-Cicero) last Wednesday was sworn in for a new legislative term at a ceremony at the University of Illinois campus in Springfield, marking the beginning of the 98th General Assembly. Following the inauguration ceremonies, she released the following statement:

“I am honored to continue serving and advocating for the residents of the 24th District. Among my priorities is to remain accessible and open to all my constituents, continue to stay connected with my community and make sure residents have access to any resources and information they need. The state is facing challenging times and very difficult budget decisions, but I will continue working with local residents and community organizations and fighting for their needs and concerns.”
