Chicago Public Library Presents: Hop Into Reading

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - EducationThe Chicago Public Library celebrates springtime and new beginnings for young children who are learning to read independently. Children, kindergarteners through second graders and their parents are invited to join the Library’s new Hop Into Reading: New Reader Book Club.

Beginning March 15 and continuing through May 24, 2013, Hop Into Reading asks parents to read with their younger children, track the minutes they read and return a completed “frog log” to the children’s librarian at their neighborhood branch library. This program is presented by the Library’s Children and Young Adult Services Department. As a special bonus, families who return completed logs before May 24 will be entered into a raffle to win a new reader library of books.
