Saint Anthony Hospital has a long history of ensuring that all members of the community receive quality care regardless of their ability to pay. In an effort to further increase awareness of early detection of breast cancer on Chicago’s West and Southwest Sides, Saint Anthony Hospital has joined with A Silver Lining Foundation (ASLF) to provide free exams to the uninsured through the foundation’s Buy A Mom A Mammogram® program. As of this month, ASLF added Saint Anthony Hospital to its list of partner hospitals. The partnership will increase the number of ASLF’s hospitals to ten. As part of its commitment to quality care, Saint Anthony recently added digital mammography in October. In 2012, Saint Anthony Hospital performed more than 2,300 mammograms.
