Actor Jorge Perugorria to Receive Gloria Career Achievement Award

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - Local NewsThe International Latino Cultural Center of Chicago (ILCC), producer of the 29th Chicago Latino Film Festival, announced that renowned award-winning Cuban actor, director and painter Jorge Perugorria will receive this year’s Gloria Career Achievement Award. The award will be presented to Perugorria at the Night of Argentina gala, Friday April 19th, prior to the presentation of the film “Marriage” (“Matrimonio”) starring Cecilia Roth and Dario Grandinetti at the AMC River East 21, 322 E. Illinois St. The event starts at 6 p.m. and will conclude with a reception following the screening at the River East Arts Center, 435 E. Illinois St. The Night of Argentina gala is sponsored by the Consulate General of the Argentina in Chicago. The St. Augustine College Culinary Arts Program is the event partner. The 29th Annual Chicago Latino Film Festival (CLFF) will be taking place April 11th_25th and will feature over 100 feature-length and short films from Latin America, Spain, Portugal and the United States.
