IWE Offering Free GED Classes

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - EducationThe Institute for Workforce Education (IWE) a division of St. Augustine College, is delivering free GED courses with the objective of bridging students to academic and workforce/vocational programs or jobs. St. Augustine College will provide tutoring and support services to assist students in completing the program which will be offered in English and Spanish.

Classes begin May 13, through June 28, 2013, Monday – Friday, with sessions during the morning and evenings. Curriculum will consist of writing, reading, social studies, constitution, math, college preparation and science. All books are free and the program also offers free childcare services and an opportunity for those that successfully complete the program, to take a free college course at St. Augustine.
