Lakeside Bank Celebrates Money Smart Week

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - BusinessIn honor of the 12th annual Chicago Money Smart Week, Lakeside Bank is offering a host of free activities to everyone in the communities it serves. On Friday, April 26th from 10a.m., to 11a.m., employees from the Chicago Board Options Exchange will hear a private presentation about “Protecting Your Privacy and Security: Identity Theft in Today’s Society.” Employees will learn from experts what identity theft is, how you report it, how to get your identity back, and ways to prevent from becoming a victim. Panelists include members from the banking, attorney general, and identity theft protection offices.

Coordinated by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and its partner organizations, Money Smart Week is designed to educate consumers about money management as well as generate awareness of financial education programs.
