Walmart, Cicero Officials Break-Ground

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - BusinessThe town of Cicero will soon have a Walmart Supercenter on the intersection of Cicero Avenue and 34th street. Town President Larry Dominick, Town clerk Maria Punzo-Arias, Town Assessor Emilio Cundari, State Representative Lisa Hernandez and representatives from Walmart gathered to commence construction. Town President Larry Dominick is eager to have Walmart join the Cicero community. “Our business board has done a great job and I am hoping that Walmart could get into our system here and donate towards the town,” Dominick said. The store is schedule to open in early Summer 2014. “I know Walmart is going to be great for our town,” Dominick said.
