On Saturday July 27th, Richard Juarez, Deputy Director of Senior Services hosted a workshop inviting seniors to participate in the various programs offered through Casa Central. The workshop was held at Maranatha Chapel in Evergreen Park. Richard discussed how Casa Central’s Homecare Service program sends out over 300 caregivers to more than 800 homebound seniors who receive assistance in completing daily tasks such as personal care, cooking, cleaning and shopping.

Seniors participating in the workshop were delightfully surprised when finding out that Casa Central also provides transportation to and from the Adult Wellness Center, where they can engage in physical activities, creative outlets, and field trips. In Richard’s words: “The event went well…individuals showed up, most of whom reside in Evergreen Park. They showed great interest in our Senior services… ” Casa Central’s Senior Service programs work in collaboration with various outside parties in promoting services and reaching out to seniors in need throughout Chicagoland.
