Youth and the Little Village community will participate in a skate competition along with performances from local bands and a variety of artwork will be displayed by community artists to celebrate the design unveiling of Park 553. On Saturday, Aug. 31st, the Little Village Environmental Justice Organization will host their annual Skate Jam Competition on 30th Street and Albany Avenue. The annual skate jam is a way to celebrate community and youth and to bring light to the need for recreational spaces.
