The National Latino Education Institute welcomes everyone to its Second Annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration, in observance of the rich legacy left to the current Latino generation from ancestral residents of nearly 30 Latin American countries. The event will be held on Monday, Oct. 7th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at John Barleycorn Pub, 149 West Kinzie Street, Chicago. Proceeds from the event help NLEI to meet its mission of “enhancing the quality of life for Latinos through educational, vocational and employment services, and through advocacy, thus enabling the achievement of economic independence.”
