Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus Foundation Presents its Annual Conference

 Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - EducationThe Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus Foundation’s eleventh annual conference, “La Presencia Latina: Rights for Others, Ourselves, Our Country” will be held on Friday, November 22nd at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.  This year, the conference will place special emphasize on the importance of President John F. Kennedy’s vision of the “New Frontier” and the themes that became so central to all Americans, including Latinos.  The conference takes place exactly fifty years after his death.

The conference admission fee is $25 ($15 for students), which includes breakfast and lunch. The conference includes a Registration and Continental Breakfast beginning at 7:30 a.m., The Opening Session and Welcome at 9:00 a.m., Concurrent Sessions from 10:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., Scholarship Awards Luncheon at noon, a Town Hall Meeting from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., and a Supporter’s Reception from 3:30p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
