Latin American Consuls Generals in Chicago, Representative from the Office of Governor Pat Quinn, Representative from the Office of Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Maria Pesqueira, president and ceo of Mujeres Latinas en Acción, UIC Directors from Hospital and Health Sciences System launched Latin American Health Week. The Latin American Health Week will be held through October 21st with various activities including free health services, health fairs, medical examinations, immunizations, and much more. Mujeres Latinas en Acción will host their health fair on October 19th from 9a.m., to 2p.m., at the Little Village Elementary School, 2620 S. Lawndale Ave. Screenings will be provided by the University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences System.
