The United Neighborhood Organization (UNO) welcomed Jesse Estrada as Chief of Operations and Procurement, UNO announced in a press release.  Estrada is part of the organization’s restructuring to fit UNO’s continued growth.  Estrada will be responsible for the development, implementation and management of operational procedures and programs, as well as oversee the revamped procurement process for all contracting on behalf of UNO and the UNO Charter School Network.

As the Chief of Operations and Procurement, Estrada’s role will be the cornerstone of the UNO model, which seeks to relieve UNO’s academic staff of non-instructional obligations so they can focus almost exclusively on student achievement and the professional development of teaching, staff.  Estrada earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Trade from Southern Illinois University.  He will bring his 15 years of experience and knowledge from working as Administrative Consultant for the Archdiocese of Chicago.  “I have long admired UNO’s work in our community and I look forward to contributing to its future success,” said Estrada in a statement.
