Chicago Park District’s Polar Adventure Days Delivers Family Fun

Dress cozy for the Chicago Park District’s winter festivity rollout. On Saturday Dec. 7, Jan. 25, and Feb. 22, the Chicago Park District presents the ninth annual Polar Adventure Days from 12 to 4 PM at Northerly Island, 1521 S. Linn White Dr., on the Museum Campus.

Free and open to the public, Polar Adventure Days offers dozens of family friendly opportunities both indoors and outdoors.

Whether it’s exploring the Northerly Island grounds, checking out live animals like birds and coyotes or dog demonstrations with huskies, enjoying live musical performances or even visiting the nature-inspired arts and crafts bazaar, the Chicago Park District ensures families will get a little taste of the Arctic experience.

Limited parking is available for $3, cash only, during Polar Adventure Days.

Polar Adventure Days is sponsored by Bright Start College Savings, a 529 savings plan created and administered by the State of Illinois. The event’s participating organizations are Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation, Big Run Wolf Ranch, Free Spirit Siberian Rescue, Imagine Art, Art Institute of Chicago and the National Museum of Mexican Art.
