Illinois Department of Labor Seeks Nominations For Workplace Safety And Health Award

The Illinois Department of Labor (IDOL) is asking downstate working communities to submit nominations for individuals who have contributed exceptionally to the health and safety of their workers.

These individuals will be honored with the Governor’s Award for Health and Safety at the 23rd annual Downstate Illinois Occupational Safety & Health Day (DIOSH) on March 5, 2014.

The Department’s Safety Inspection & Education Division enforces occupational safety and health standards Illinois public sector, provides consultation services to small businesses and highlights the importance of workplace safety and health.
