McDonald’s teams with a Chicago-based, Hispanic-oriented non-profit organization in order to create educational opportunities for the college bound.

Last week, McDonald’s and the United States Hispanic Leadership Institute (USHLI) jointly coordinated and sponsored the Student Leadership Summit at Carl Shurz High School in Irving Park.

Information about the college admissions process as well as the RMHC© HACER© scholarships was presented. The summit also assembled a reputable line-up of speakers, including USHLI President Dr. Juan Andrade, President of CoolSpeak Carlos Ojeda, VP of CoolSpeak Ernesto Mejia, McDonald’s Owner-Operators John DeCarrier and Tanya Lawrence, and HACER scholarship recipient Wendy Roldan.

McDonald’s sponsored this summit as part of a larger mission to support an increase in the number of Hispanic students pursuing higher education.
