Chicago Artists Delve Into The Surreal In “Survival, Spirit, Dreams, Nightmares”

On Sunday, February 9, The Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art, located at 2320 W. Chicago Ave., will open the “Survival, Spirit, Dreams, Nightmares” exhibition from 2 to 5 p.m.

The exhibition features works by Chicago artists René Hugo Arceo, Mark Nelson, Yohanan Petrovsky-Shtern and ex-Chicagoan Peter Dallos, and address themes of culture, ethnicity, survival, and the power of the human spirit against adversity.

“Survival, Spirit, Dreams, Nightmares” runs through March 30.
