The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection officially unveiled the Automated Passport Control system at Chicago Midway on Wednesday morning. These new self-service kiosks will allow travelers to scan their own passport and complete a portion of the CBP process before reaching an officer, greatly reducing the time it takes to be processed when arriving in the United States from abroad. Among the attendees for the ribbon cutting ceremony were, Chicago Department of Aviation Commissioner Rosemarie S. Andolino and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Area Port Director Matthew Davies.
