Employee volunteers from ComEd partnered with the El Valor to honor National Volunteer Week on Saturday, April 12. The volunteers helped beautify the grounds of El Valor. As the weather improves, El Valor’s participants spend a lot of time in the common and garden areas. Volunteers assisted with clean up efforts and prepared the garden areas for El Valor’s spring activities.

This employee volunteer event is part of ComEd’s company-wide observance of National Volunteer Week (April 6-12) and National Volunteer Month (April), an annual nationwide celebration of people working to improve their communities through service.

The event is one of more than 30 community service projects ComEd employees, and employees from its parent company Exelon, are leading in celebration of National Volunteer Week and National Volunteer Month. ComEd’s National Volunteer Week projects are focused on employee-led community service projects in support of education, environment, diversity and inclusion, and neighborhood development in the communities where ComEd employees work and live.
