Congresswoman Duckworth Opens 2014 Congressional Art Competition

Today, Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth (IL-08) announced that submissions are now being accepted for the 2014 Congressional Art Competition. All high school students who reside in or attend school in the 8th Congressional District are encouraged to participate. Entry Forms need to be submitted to the Congresswoman’s office by Friday, April 18th, and artwork must be dropped off at the District Office at 1701 E. Woodfield Rd. Suite 900, Schaumburg, IL 60173 no later than Wednesday, April 30th. The winner will be announced in early May. Artwork may be up to 28 inches by 28 inches (including the frame) and up to 4 inches in depth. Types of artwork:

  • Paintings – including oil, acrylics, and watercolor
  • Drawings – including pastels, colored pencil, pencil, charcoal, ink, and markers
  • Collage
  • Prints – including lithographs, silkscreen, and block prints
  • Mixed Media
  • Computer Generated Art
  • Photography
