The National Latino Education Institute (NLEI) will open a new four-month course in phlebotomy beginning Tuesday, May 6th at their campus, 2011 West Pershing Road in Chicago. Registration for this course is open this week. A phlebotomist draws blood samples for laboratory tests, blood donations and analysis. Students will learn phlebotomy techniques, anatomy, lab technology and medical terminology, among other subjects. The program includes an externship placement, and students are eligible to test for the NCCT certification exam.
