Cook County Commissioner Jeff Tobolski honored Sharon Flaim as the 16th District Unsung Heroine at a reception held on April 17th at Palmer Place in downtown LaGrange. Steve Palmer, the owner of Palmer Place, announced the award alongside Commissioner Tobolski.

For the past five years Tracey has worked as a volunteer Honor Flight Coordinator by mobilizing and organizing students at Lyons Township High School to raise funds, send letters, and convey support to the veterans of the Western suburbs. Tracey gave up her position as an Activities Lifestyle Coordinator at Plymouth Place to become an unpaid volunteer with Honor Flight. During flight season (March through November) she puts in 30+ hours a week and makes numerous flights with veterans to our nation’s Capital.
