Morton College Annual Student Talent Show

The annual Morton college student Talent Show is at 6p.m., Thursday, May 1st, in the Jedlicka Performing Arts Center on the campus at 3801 S. Central Avenue. A total of 22 acts, ranging from singers, guitarists, rappers, poets and dancers, will compete for the top three prizes before what is expected to be a capacity crowd in the JPAC. Each act had to go through an audition process in front of a panel of judges to qualify for the show. The list of performers includes:

Admission is free. Donations for Morton College’s HOPE Scholarship Fund, which helps students unable to receive federal financial aid, will be accepted. Various student clubs will be staffing a concession stand. “It takes a lot of work to prepare for a show like this to be successful,” said Russ Streuly, Talent Show Director. “You need a stage crew, back stage crew, concourse people, freelance workers, a sound and light technician and the evening’s MC. The students really step up and volunteer to work in all areas to make this show a huge success.”
