More than 700 people witnessed BBoy MN Joe win the Red Bull BC One Cypher in Chicago at the Great Hall in the famous marble foyer of Union Station on Saturday, June 7th. The Midwest’s best breakers came together to secure a spot in the national finals for the premier one-on-one BBoy competition, Red Bull BC One. MN Joe battled his way to the top, beating out Colorado veteran Data. Other top Chicago favorites like Evol, Black Attack, and Lil Ivan were also on hand to battle out against more of the best from the Midwest, such as 2013 cypher winner, Milwaukee’s Mijo, as well a slew of other breakers from Minnesota, Illinois and Ohio. MN Joe, who has previously competed in past Red Bull BC One National finals, will take his far-reaching experience to Las Vegas on August 16. Judges Ronnie, Ken Swift and Wicked were on hand to watch the biggest battle in the region. MN Joe will join 15 other BBoys in August as they compete in the Red Bull BC One North American Final in Las Vegas. The winner will then travel to face the world’s best later this fall in Paris at the World Finals.
