UnitedHealthcare Brings the Recipe for Good Health to Latinos

UnitedHealthcare will host a free cooking demonstration to kick off a series of educational events aimed at improving the health and well-being of Hispanic-American seniors and other Medicare beneficiaries in Cook and Lake (Illinois). The event will begin with a healthy Latin cooking demonstration featuring Chef Fernanda Chacón, who will show participants how to prepare rice pudding, a traditional Latin dessert, in a healthier way. The cooking demonstration will be followed by a Medicare seminar where participants will learn about the basics of Medicare, including the different parts of the program, eligibility requirements and enrollment windows. The event is open to the public and there is no cost to attend. Cook and Lake-area seniors, other Medicare beneficiaries and their caregivers are encouraged to come.
