Chicago Public Library invites elementary school-age children, 5 – 12 years old and their families; to the first ever Back to School-A-Palooza, a series of 20 children’s concerts to be held August 23 through August 29 at twenty branch libraries. Presented by the Library’s Children Services Department and the Chicago Public Library Foundation, Back to School-A-Palooza promotes a joyous start of school, books, learning, and library cards with a school-theme concert series. The concerts also raise awareness of the Chicago Public Library’s numerous educational resources that are available to students and Chicago families. Children attending the concerts will be treated to special back-to-school giveaways as well. For more information, visit chipublib.org or call the Chicago Public Library at (312) 747-4050.
