Celebrate Halloween at Chicago Parks

The Chicago Park District hosts dozens of Halloween events in the parks. Offerings include several haunted houses, numerous pumpkin patches, movie screenings and much more. Call 312-742-PLAY for a complete list of events. Halloween highlights this fall include:

Pumpkin Patches & Halloween Parties

  • Oct. 5-31
  • Various parks
  • All ages, entrance fees vary from free to nominal
  • Nominal fees may apply for on-site activities

Fall pumpkin patches throughout the city feature a selection of shapes, sizes and decorating stations. Some pumpkin patches and Halloween parties include a petting zoo, hayride, games, treats and a chance to take a photo at the harvest photo station.

Indoor Drive-In Haunted Movie at Margate

  • Thursday, Oct. 23, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Join us for our annual “Indoor” Haunted Drive-In movie, includes popcorn, hotdog and a drink. Great event for teens and adults!

Day of the Dead Workshop: Sugar Skull Canvas at Mayfair Park

  • Admission $15

Learn to paint and decorate your own sugar skull on canvas. Admission includes one sugar skull canvas per person. Please arrive 15 minutes early. Children ages 9 to 12 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the workshop,

Halloween Fest at Austin Town Hall
