Carlos and Dominguez will play host to a new exhibit co-curated by Pete Rodriguez and Len Dominguez called Pilsen in My Memory: 50 Years of Art, Architecture, and People. This exhibit will bring a little bit of Pilsen’s past back to the present. Photos of people, murals, buildings and events of historical interest to the Mexican community, in addition to artwork from the period will be shown. Photos from the archives of the Azetca Photo Studio, kept by Aurelio Barrios, document some of the community leaders and organizations that made Pilsen the thriving Mexican community that it is today. The exhibit opening will take place on Saturday, Oct. 18th and Sunday, Oct. 19th from noon to 6p.m., at the Carlos and Dominguez Fine Arts Gallery, 1538 W. Cullerton St.
