Celebrated author Ana Castillo will exhibit her work at a special reception Friday, Dec. 5th, at the Carlos & Dominguez Fine Arts Gallery, 1538 W. Cullerton St. Ana Castillo rarely exhibits her paintings. Perhaps it is because they are personal in a way that her profoundly personal poems, novels, and essays cannot be; they are visual; we can see into her heart and soul through her paintings. The event will provide a rare opportunity to hear her read from her books and also see her paintings. After the reading, there will be a book signing opportunity to meet Castillo.
