Tobolski Receives Honor by Lyons Township Seniors Without Partners

Lyons Township Assessor Barb Weyrick, who also heads up the Lyons Township Seniors Without Partners group, presented Commissioner Tobolski with a plaque expressing gratitude for his work with local seniors. Commissioner Tobolski, who also serves as Mayor of McCook, hosts monthly luncheons for the Lyons Township seniors group at the Pub at the Max in McCook.

Lyons Township was recently awarded Best Township Program by Township Perspectives Magazine for its successful Seniors Without Partners group. Spearheaded by Assessor Weyrick, Seniors Without Partners began in 2013 and brings together upwards of 80 seniors to enjoy meals, movie nights and other activities. “I am humbled and grateful to be honored by such an incredible organization that does so much for our District’s seniors,” said Commissioner Tobolski.
