Building on a Strong First Month, Get Covered Illinois Partners with CVS/pharmacy

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - Health

Get Covered Illinois (GCI) has partnered with CVS/pharmacy to deliver free health screenings and provide uninsured Illinois residents with education and information about the quality plans available on the Health Insurance Marketplace during the second Open Enrollment Period for health insurance. GCI insurance experts will be present at CVS/pharmacy’s Project Health events and other special events at CVS/pharmacy stores across Chicagoland to answer questions and provide uninsured residents with the information they need to enroll in health coverage. Illinois residents will also be able to obtain GCI informational pamphlets at all 269 CVS locations across the state.

Get Covered Illinois and CVS/pharmacy are looking forward to the following Project Health events. In-person assistors will also be present at several additional CVS locations to provide Illinois residents with health insurance information. No appointment is necessary to speak with an in-person professional at any Project Health or participating CVS location and their services are free. Residents should enroll by Jan. 15 for coverage that will begin Feb. 1.
