Mayor Emanuel Announces ContextMedia Will Expand Workforce in Chicago

Mayor Rahm Emanuel and ContextMedia CEO Rishi Shah announced on Monday that the company plans to hire an additional 200 jobs in Chicago this year including positions across all functional areas and skill levels. ContextMedia also expects to add 400 additional jobs in Chicago next year as it continues to expand. The company, which moved into its current 33,000 square foot headquarters at 330 North Wabash Avenue in April, has already outgrown its space and will be looking to expand in 2015.

The company, which started 2014 with 46 full-time employees, ended the year with over 110 and plans to double its growth for each of the next two years, hiring 200 new employees this year and an additional 400 employees in 2016. Hires will be made across numerous skill levels and sectors, including sales and marketing, analysts and software developers. ContextMedia is a health information services company, providing patient education solutions for healthcare professionals in the chronic disease care sector. Founded by Rishi Shah and Shradha Agarwal in Chicago in 2006, the company, which has seen exceptional growth, has been named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in America for the last two years and is one of the fastest growing private technology companies in Chicago.
