Saint Anthony Hospital Appoints Bernadette O’Shea as Vice President and Chief Development Officer

After an extensive nationwide search, Bernadette O’Shea has been named Vice President and Chief Development Officer for the Saint Anthony Hospital Foundation.

“Bernadette O’Shea brings a wealth of experience, creativity and leadership skills to this critically important position,” said Guy A. Medaglia, president and chief executive officer of Saint Anthony Hospital. “She has a proven track record of success in fundraising and is ideally suited to lead the effort to support our ambitious plan for the Focal Point community campus and accelerate our position nationally.”

Most recently, O’Shea served as the senior director of development at Rush University Medical Center, as a member of the team responsible for the overall strategic management of major gifts operation for the hospital. Working in collaboration, she launched Rush University Medical Center’s most successful fundraising campaign to date that raised $385 million and exceeded the organization’s goal.

A graduate of University of Illinois at Chicago, O’Shea rose through the ranks at Rush University Medical Center where she began her career as the associate director of development.
