The Comedy Exposition Returning to Chicago

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - Local News

Chicago’s grassroots standup comedy festival The Comedy Exposition is returning for a second year following a wildly successful launch in 2014, featuring a huge crop of nationally touring, as well as up-and-coming standup talent. Three national headliners are already confirmed to appear at the festival, happening July 10-12 at venues across three Chicago neighborhoods. Baron Vaughn (Conan, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Comedy Central Presents), Adam Cayton-Holland (creator/star of TruTV’s upcoming scripted comedy Those Who Can’t), and Kate Berlant (called a “magnetic improvisational standup comic” by The New York Times) will all be seen at shows throughout the weekend. Confirmed venues, that will house multiple standup showcases, podcast recordings, and high- concept comedy shows, include UP Comedy Club, Schubas, The Playground Theatre, and Stand Up Stand Up at the Crocodile Lounge.
