Chicago Public Library offers a variety of musical and dance performance events, as well as engaging art exhibitions, supported with an artist talk in May. The programs and exhibits are presented as part of the Visual and Performing Arts Department’s ongoing public programming series and the Library’s continuing efforts to Nurture Learning, Support Economic Advancement, and Strengthen Communities. The Columbia College Chamber Choir

Thursday, May 7 at 12:15 p.m.

The music fluctuates from early vocal polyphony to contemporary a capella, in this concert by The Columbia College Chamber Choir, under the direction of Phillip L. Seward. Presented in cooperation with Columbia College Chicago.

Joy Qu

Friday, May 8 at 12:15 p.m.

Join 11-year –old Joy Qu, who plays classical piano works by Bach, Beethoven, Debussy, List and Rachmaninoff. Presented in cooperation with The Emilio del Rosario Music Foundation.
