This Saturday, Chicago parents will have only one opportunity to explore more than 100 summer program options under one roof—at the ParentPowerChicago Summer Program Fair. This year, the free event will be at family-friendly Navy Pier. From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., parents can browse the aisles to speak with representatives from dozens of organizations that offer a variety of programs—from sports and recreation to music and tutoring.

Some summer programs will have on-site registration available. There is no charge for admission and parking for fair attendees is discounted. Lower price, off-site parking also can be found on mobile apps such as parkhero.com and spotwhiz.com. This year, the fair is adding insightful workshops on programs and summer jobs led by staff from After School Matters, Chicago Public Library, Chicago Park District, Metro Achievement and the Chicago Summer of Learning. Registration is available online at parentpowerchicago.org, or by calling (773) 907-2777. Pre-registration is encouraged to avoid lines; but parents can also register on-site.
