Several students of University of Illinois at Chicago hosted a press conference on Tuesday afternoon outside the UIC Outdoor Commons Plaza. The students, members of the Fearless Undocumented Alliance (FUA) addressed fear circled around the undocumented community and celebrate diversity among students on campus. “We are taking action and will not stop until we see administrative results. We invite faculty, staff, and other students, undocumented or not, to stand with us,” said one member of FUA. Each spring since 2010, members of the undocumented immigrant community share their stories and adversity with the hope to change rhetoric.
